To Our Valued Patient,

It is with great pleasure that I write to introduce myself and express my gratitude and excitement at having the opportunity to provide dental services for you and your family.

I am Dr. John W. Chung and I look forward to addressing all of your dental needs. I am passionate about helping patients improve their oral health and achieve a beautiful smile. When people ask me why I enjoy being a dentist, I explain that I love to build personal relationships with my patients and treat the person, not just the tooth.

Here a little bit about myself. I was born in Long Beach and grew up in Orange County. I have been involved in dentistry most of my life. I have two cousins that are dentists and I always knew I would also become a dentist so after graduating high school. It was a very easy and clear decision to go into a career that would channel my creative talents through a hands-on approach in the healthcare industry. I attended Cal State University San Bernardino transferred to University of California Santa Cruz. From there I went on to attend Marquette University School of Dentistry. I graduated in 1998 and thereafter, I worked as an associate in private practices in cities such as Chicago, Milwaukee, Santa Barbara and Ventura before purchasing my own practice.

In 2002, I moved to Ventura and quickly knew this was where I wanted to establish long-term roots. My vision for this practice is to offer caring, comfortable, and comprehensive dental care to our valued community. We welcome patients of all ages. My passion is for cosmetic dentistry, where many new and exciting advances in dental materials such as composite or "white" fillings, porcelain veneers, implant restoration, and teeth whitening. My practice has state-of-the-art equipment, including soft leather dental chairs and digital x-rays to minimize radiation. These provide comfort and safety-two values which are most important to me.

I, along with Suhan, Teresa and Helen look forward to continuing to provide you and your family with the same excellent care provided by Dr. Lau. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your dental concerns. My attentive team is equally ecstatic about meeting you.
